Making Spring Animal Masks

Sheep Mask


To make this mask you will need:


  • paper plate
  • elastic
  • pink, yellow, grey paper
  • cotton wool
  • stapler
  • hole punch
  • glue
  • scissors

To make the mask:

  • Cut out the face, and 2 ear shapes from the paper plates.
  • Cut two eye holes into the mask.
  • Cut out the hair shape from the grey paper, two pink ear shapes and the nose from the pink paper and a flower shape from the yellow paper.
  • Stick cotton wool all over the mask and then glue on the hair, flower and nose.
  • Next glue the pink paper shapes into the ears and staple them to the plate.
  • Hole punch one hole either side of the eyes and thread the elastic through.


Variation:

Chick Mask

You will need:

  • a paper plate
  • orange card
  • pink paper
  • stapler
  • paint brushes
  • hole punch
  • elastic
  • scissors
  • glue

To make:


Cut out a face shape from the paper plate.


Cut out two eye holes from the mask.


  • Paint the mask yellow.
  • Cut a hair shape and a triangle for the beak and glue them onto the mask. Cut two circles from the pink paper as cheeks and stick them to the mask.
  • Punch two holes into the mask either side of the eyes.
  • Thread the elastic through and attach.


Variation:

Rabbit Mask

You will need:

  • two paper plates
  • paint
  • elastic
  • holepunch
  • glue
  • cotton wool
  • paint brushes
  • scissors
  • black paper
  • stapler

To make:

  • Cut a mask shape from the paper plate and two rabbit ears from the second plate.
  • Cut two eye holes out from the mask.
  • Paint the ears and face, we chose pink, you can choose any colour.
  • Staple the ears to the face.
  • Stick some cotton wool to the ears.
  • Cut 6 stripes from the black card for whiskers and a black nose.
  • Glue to the whiskers and nose to the rabbit mask.
  • Punch two holes either side of the eyes and thread elastic through and secure.
